  1. Acknowledge & Accept, the first step to changing your thought patterns is Awareness — Start paying attention to when those negative thoughts surface. Then accept that they are there, AND tell yourself : “This is just a thought, and just because I thought it, that doesn’t make it real.”

  2. Challenge the Thought. Ask yourself why you’re even thinking this thing — Is it actually valid? Then practice reframing this thought into a more supportive voice. — Be compassionate, because I’m sure you wouldn’t accept half of the negative things you say to yourself from anybody else. You would be ready to bring out the chopper (not literally, just figuratively.. more with your voice)

  3. Take the edge off, and start filling your brain by Engaging in Mindful Practices like Breath-work, Meditation, Ecstatic Dance or Embodiment Yoga — The things that make you feel good!
